BABIS' LONDON MARATHON
"This April, in London, I will run my third marathon in a year, a different one for a special reason. This time I will be running for a great charity and I already feel more motivated than ever and responsible for the people I will be running for.
The charity I have chosen is West London Action for Children, they support children and families based in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea, who are facing many different experiences and challenges including domestic violence, bereavement, divorce and separation, bullying and truancy, mental health concerns, parenting difficulties, substance misuse, racist and abusive treatment, among others.
We can all relate, on a small or big scale, with at least one of these difficulties that these families are facing - either as parents or as kids. The work of WLAC has a very positive impact on these children's lives and I'm glad that I have the chance to contribute in my way.
I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations."

Georgie's NUTRITION TIP
To support consistent energy levels and mood through the winter months, try to include a greens powder (organic and unsweetened) in a smoothie or juice every day as they are high in protein and packed full of immune-boosting vitamins and minerals.
Here is my suggestion for a post-workout energy-boosting green smoothie:
1 large banana
300ml unsweetened coconut milk or oat milk
1 tbsp of Chlorella Powder/Greens powder or Spirulina Powder (all high in protein)
100g of cucumber
1 small organic lemon - juice and zest
100g of frozen spinach
Blend and add water until right consistency to drink.
Thanks Georgie at www.grnutrition.co.uk
That's all for now folks. Stay warm and enjoy your January training!
